Communal Violence in India

Communal Violence in India

"The lawlessness of communal violence is a monster with several faces. It hurts all in the end, including those who are primarily responsible for it"
- M.K.Gandhi (15-09-1940)

When two or more religious sects get into violence over the issues of mistrust in and hatred about religious beliefs, language differences, regional differences or all in one cultural differences, among them, then we call it communal violence. From medieval India to this date, India has suffered from communal violence due to political unrest or political policies. Back then due to foreign invasions and now political policies of representative parties of India. No person willingly dive into this religious turmoil.

As per data provided by home ministry of india , from 2005 to 2009, India has registered total 648 deaths, 11,278 injuries and 4030 incidents of communal violence. On average 209 people dies every year in India because of communal riots. Data also warns that UP,state of India, has been used as one of the warbase for these riots followed by Maharashtra and Gujarat. Though numbers look lesser when compared with the total population of India, we can't just ignore the unrest spreaded by this riots amoung religious sects. There are many examples of political policies and unrest being cause of communal violence before independence, at the time of independence and after independence. Which made communal violence India's 'Achilles heel'. Which had been hit by British time to time to keep india away from freedom. And still we are struggling to get freedom from religious anchors.

Friends, when do we get into fight.....? When someone stimulates us.........this action is not spontaneous but stimulus......... So until we uproot the entities that pushing you and me into violence....... We will not succeed to make not only India but whole world free from communal violence.

Women Empowerment in India

Women empowerment in India "If you want something said ask man;  if you want something done ask women." -Margaret Thatcher           5 Oct, 1789 women marched to Versailles to demand their rights. This was the movement by women for women to empower themselves and gain equal status as men had at that time. Same way , when we look back at India's history then we come to know that before Gupta period (319AD-540AD) women were treated respectfully but after that her status deprived and she was supposed to be helper for her man. This changed in 20th century while India was unitedly fighting for freedom. This freedom fight produced many feminist who supported women and gave first thrust to women empowerment in India making Anne besant, foreign socialist, first women president of india(1917). Now we are here in 21st century still struggling to give women equal status only due to our conservative attitude.           Acc...
